Free Vitamin Season

免費的菓子,昨天到山上散步,十步之內總有幾株,山頭成櫻桃海,多得好些在樹上爛掉也沒人可惜,大概除了我。。。我覺得它們是金,來自大自然紅色的金。我吃多了會拉肚子, Phil 卻不停口不停口的吃,我問︰你怎麼可以吃那麼多,不怕肚瀉嗎?他像看異形似的瞪著我,說︰那麼甜的 cherries,我可以一天不停口吃﹗

香港少見的菓子,Phil 說它們叫什麼我便信是什麼,回來看圖在網上查證,原來是紅和黑加侖子,紅的年前其實在森林裡試過,早已忘了它的酸,今年在 Phil 的鼓勵下又再酸一次,只好怪自己健忘。不明白他如何可以成串的吞下﹗>_<

免費維他命季節由六月開始有櫻桃及各種 berries,之後還有葡萄、李子、蜜桃、啤李、各種果仁和栗子等,最後大概由蘋果在十月、十一月份冬來前謝幕。

    係香港要幾十蚊先有一磅車里子, 仲要未必甜

    或者俾一百幾十參加唔知咩團先有得去士多啤梨園, 任摘

  5. Meg, 荷蘭那邊櫻桃樹不多嗎?我見德意志跟荷蘭交界 (Düsseldorf 附近) 有個看來很不錯的小森林,水源很豐富,可能會有很多果樹﹗*o* 你近那邊的話可以去找找看啊﹗我的下一個目標是後街的馬路邊的櫻桃樹群,明天吧,看看它們甜不甜。

    包,不怕的,他們都說雨水已把菓子洗淨,田裡的草莓都是即摘即吃的,這兒的人。

    鳳凰藍,對啊,垂手可得又免費,但聽 Phil 說不可以拿袋子去摘,所以每次我拿袋子採摘時都有做賊的感覺,其實摘那三兩公斤,哪會有人介意。

    Grace,對啊﹗田裡採的士多啤利真的很甜﹗香港一向買到的都酸,從未想過它們可以比糖還要甜﹗但今年我立志慳家,所以不會付錢下田去採,會迫自己努力的去森林摘呀摘﹗如果找到野生的士多啤利就好啦。

  6. Holly I checked my Swedish cookbook about freezing fruits and berries!
    Basically, you just freeze them in bags specifically made for freezing. Here you can buy them easily at the supermarket, on the same shelf as Glad Wrap, tin foil and normal plastic food bags..
    If you plan to keep the fruits for more than a year, then you should sprinkle 50-100ml sugar per very 1L of fruit before freezing.
    For strawberries, it's good to sprinkle sugar regardless of the freezing period.
    Fruits are best defrosted on a plate for about 30mins. If you're using it for smoothies there is no need to defrost. Some fruit like blueberries will bleed during defrosting, so if you want to make a blueberry pie, you have to add some flour. (such info are usually provided in cookbooks!)
